What was your first experience of tea? My first sip of tea was at my ancestral home with my grandmother. Her house always smelled of tea; and I can vividly remember the soothing aroma, and comforting warmth of a freshly poured cup. Tea has always been an important part of Asian Culture; a tradition that grounds us to our collective history. If you were ever looking to incorporate tea into your beauty routine, then look no further. Because it is the subtle yet evocative flavours of White tea that have inspired Elizabeth Arden’s new White Tea Fragrance Collection.
Elizabeth Arden’s White Tea Fragrance Collection recreates the simple pleasures of the ritual of tea drinking. Launched in 2017, the original White Tea scent was simple and crisp with hints of Mandarin orange and woody musk. The two new scents reveal Elizabeth Arden’ feminine side. The White Tea Wild Rose perfume is sweet, delicate, and floral fragrance that is perfect for spring excursions, while the White Tea Vanilla Orchid perfume is an alluring yet tranquil scent with notes of Bergamot, and Dewy Jasmine. Perfect for snuggling into your favourite blanket at home, and sipping on a nice cup of, you guessed it, tea.
To launch the collection, Elizabeth Arden opened The White Tea House at Shilla Duty Free in Terminal 1 of Changi Airport last March 11, 2019. Amidst porcelain skinned influencers, media, and travel retail VIPS, Elizabeth Arden invited its guests to embark on their own personal #WhiteTeaMoments.
The White Tea House is a treat for the senses and uses a multi-sensory approach to fragrance. Inviting guests to discover the new collection beyond the realm their olfactory senses. Once they choose a signature scent from The White Tea Collection, they can also enjoy a nice cup of tea inspired by your chosen fragrance. Guests can even personalise their own signature tea blend, using a mix of white tea, rosebuds, lavender, lemongrass, and orange peel. Afterwards, guests can indulge in a little skincare ‘degustation’ — and sample some of Elizabeth Arden’s best-selling products. Finish all that off with a skin-dessert in the form of White Tea Body Crème – served in a delicate ice cream cup. Tea-inspired fragrance and ice-cream inspired skincare? There is surely no sweeter way to indulge in some self-care pre-flight at Elizabeth Arden’s White Tea House.
Don’t leave without receiving the exclusive Grace Ciao illustrated postcard and magnet. With its delicate colours, and charming floral design — it’s the perfect memento to commemorate your #WhiteTeaMoments with Elizabeth Arden and Shilla Duty Free.
Pro Tip: If your skin is in dire need of pampering — why not try The White Tea House’s Anti Aging Firming Platter that was inspired by Ceramide Skincare, or the Presage Skincare inspired Rejuvenating Anti-Oxidant Platter. Believe me — your skin will thank you later!
